Divisions

IES-Holding is focused on creating a vertically integrated company to produce heat and power and to supply power, heat and gas.

IES-Holding includes six business divisions, one for each area of business: Generation Urals, Generation Center, Generation Volga, Trading, Capacity Development, and Retail. Each business division is managed by an Executive Vice President of IES.

• Generation - this area of business includes three divisions, Generation Urals (TGC-9 and TGC-5), Generation Center (TGC-6) and Generation Volga (VoTGC). Their key function is generation of power and heat at a specified time and in a specified volume in accordance with the trading schedule based on the result of trades in the wholesale power market.  The total installed capacity of IES-Holding's power plants is about 16,000 MW, which accounts for over 7% of the installed capacity of all Russian power plants. IES-Holding is Russia's leading heat producer. The installed heat production capacity of its heat and power plants is 67,800 GCal/h.
• Trading - this division was established to operate in the wholesale electricity and power market and ensure centralized procurement of fuel for IES-Holding's power plants. The business division's primary objective is management of generating capacities load.  Its central office is located in Perm.
• Retail - this division is in charge of retail sales and gas distribution. It includes 6 regional retail companies in Russia and 12 gas distributing companies which operate in Russia and Ukraine, as well as operating, construction and service companies of the gas industry. IES has united all its gas assets under the single corporate brand - GAZEKS. This company operates in 7 Russian regions and 4 key Ukrainian industrial regions. The major activity of GAZEKS is natural gas transportation to end users. The company serves over 4,000,000 subscribers and 20,900 companies. The average annual volume of gas transport through GAZEKS gas distribution pipelines in Russia and abroad exceeds 27.5 billion m3.
• Capacity Development - its area of responsibility includes implementation of investment projects of territorial generating companies and improvement of existing equipment. Investment programs of TGC-5, TGC-6, TGC-7, and TGC-9 provide for construction of a total of 3 GW of new power facilities.
