The net profit of RAO UES of Russia for the first half of 2007 increased by 36.6% versus the same period of last year and amounted to almost 16.8 billion roubles, says the company's report. During the six month RAO provided services for the amount of 14 billion roubles, 26% less than in the same period of last year. "The decrease in the volume of services (products, works) realised by the company in the first half of 2007 is largely due to the decrease in the subscription fee for RAO UES of Russia's services connected with the functioning and development of Russia's Unified Energy System from 48.72 roubles per mWh in 2006 to 27.93 roubles per mWt as of 1 January 2007", the report says. The document also mentions an increase in the company's expenses of nearly 650 million roubles, or 22.8%, which, according to the report, is associated with the reorganisation of the industry and additional expenses on consulting, information and legal services. |
