According to the Federal State Statistics Service, in January-July 2007 579 bln kWh of energy was produced in Russia - an increase of more than 0.8% over January-July 2006. The volume of energy production by nuclear power plants increased in January-July 2007 by 2.7% versus January-July 2006 and totaled 92.5 bln kWh; thermal power plants increased production by 2.8% reaching 374 bln kWh; hydroelectric power plants' production grew by 12.8% and amounted to 112 bln kWh. The production of heat power decreased in January-July 2007 as compared to January-July 2006 by 7.4% to 833 mln Gcal. |
