Export of power from the Russian Federation declined 16.1% to 12.961 billion kWh in January-October 2007 versus 15.442 billion kWh in the same period a year earlier, according to the Federal Customs Service. In money terms, export of power in the reporting period went down 24.9% from $556.1 million to $417.5 million. Supplies of power to non-neighbouring foreign countries decreased 12.5% from 12.412 billion kWh to 10.86 billion kWh, to the CIS states 30.1% from 3.011 billion kWh to 2.104 billion kWh. In January-October 2007, Russia imported 5.1 billion kWh of power for $102.5 million, including 474.1 million kWh for $9.5 million from non-neighbouring foreign countries and 4.624 billion kWh for $93 million from the CIS states. |
