OJSC Moscow Regional Power Grid Company (MRPGC, spun off from OJSC Mosenergo) ( MSNG on the Russian Trading System stock exchange) has launched a cable power line to supply power to the international business centre Moskva-City and around 1 million square metres of housing under construction on the Khodynskoye Field, according to the company's press release.
The new 110 kV, 4.3 km power line supplies power from the bus-bars of Heat and Power Plant No 12. Moskabelsetmontazh (Moscow Cable Network Mounting, an MRPGC affiliate) is the general contractor for power line construction. The power line construction cost exceeded 500 million roubles, the MRPGC press service told Interfax.
The line was installed in Moscow downtown, which was a very difficult task due to the necessity to bypass urban structures, according to the press release. Thus, the cable line went along closed passages under the Moskva River, across the Fili line of the Metro, the Kutuzovskiy Prospekt, the Kiev Railway Station, the circular railway road, and CJSC Setun Ltd. |
