Six large electric power substations will be built in Moscow in 2006-2007 at the expense of the municipal budget, said on Wednesday Head of the city’s Economic Policy and Development Department Marina Ogloblina at a meeting of Moscow Government devoted to results of implementation of municipal programs in 2005 and plans for 2006, reports RBC.
She stated that high-voltage incoming and outgoing cables will be installed to provide for operation of the new electric power substations. According to the Government of Moscow, "shortage of capacity of distribution power systems in the capital has arisen from the short-sighted policies of Mosenergo and RAO UES of Russia. As a result, Moscow has to take actions in order not to halt the city’s development ". |
