Market Council as RAO UES Successor to Be Based on Trading System Administrator
The non-profit partnership Market Council that is supposed to succeed RAO UES of Russia in terms of coordinating the Russian power industry after the reorganisation of the holding company is expected to be based on Trading System Administrator (TSA), which is the organiser of trade on the electricity exchange, Yuri Udaltsov, a member of the RAO UES board of management, said at a conference in Moscow on Wednesday.

RAO UES Starts Accepting Applications for Auction for WGC-5's Blocking Interest
RAO UES of Russia started accepting applications for participating in a public auction for the sale of a blocking interest in OJSC Wholesale Generating Company No 5 (WGC-5) on 27 March. The auction will take place on 6 June, 2007, and bids are accepted until 28 May, 2007.

RAO UES Speeds Up Consolidating Grids, Hydropower Plants
RAO UES of Russia expects to finish consolidating assets of Federal Hydropower Generating Company (FHGC) and Federal Grid Company (FGC) simultaneously with the reorganisation of the holding company itself. Industry analysts believe that the new reform scheme will allow speeding up the consolidation of the assets of FHGC and FGC.
