30.05.2011 Metallurgists Named Most Efficient Energy Consumers Following Energy Cooperation Contest
Metallurgical, engineering and chemical companies have been recognized the most efficient heat and power consumers. By results of Energy Cooperation Contest 2011 held by IES-Holding in 16 Russian regions metallurgical companies have received 20% of awards in the nomination of Major Industrial Enterprises, and engineering and chemical companies have each received 18% of awards in the same nomination. While high performance of engineering and chemical businesses has already become traditional, metallurgical enterprises have been named energy efficiency leaders for the first time in the three-year history of the Contest.
24.05.2011 IES to Consolidate Generating Assets on the Basis of OJSC TGC-9
Integrated Energy Systems plans to consolidate its generating and sales assets on the basis of OJSC TGC-9. This consolidation, another stage of the strategy to create a unified vertically integrated company, is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2012.

Andrey Burenin, Deputy General Director for Economics and Finance. CJSC IES, has been elected Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Non-Profit Partnership Council of Energy Producers and Power Industry Strategic Investors (NPP CEP) by resolution of the first meeting of the supervisory board elected at a general meeting in Moscow on May 23.
18.05.2011 IES to Increase Power Plants’ Energy Efficiency by Modernizing Pumping Equipment
A modernization project for power plants' pumping equipment has been launched under IES-Holding's energy efficiency improvement program. It is being implemented with the use of modern equipment and advanced energy saving technologies imported to Russia by the Swiss-based Sulzer. The project is being financed by the holding company and is included in the 2011-2012 repair and technical re-equipment program.

IES-Holding's Businesses have successfully completed the 2010-2011 autumn-winter period and started preparations for the next heating season. The company plans to invest RUB 17.9 billion in its repair, technical upgrade and re-equipment program.
05.05.2011 Sverdlovenergosbyt Recovers Through Court over RUB 211 million in Debts in Three Months of 2011
In January, February and March 2011 OJSC Sverdlovenergosbyt recovered over RUB 211 million from debtors through resolutions of courts of various instances. Legal action was required to settle liabilities of energy selling companies, public utilities operators, apartment buildings managing companies, as well as those of state-financed institutions and metallurgical and mechanical engineering businesses.
28.04.2011 Perm CHPP-6 Completing Installation of Siemens Combined Cycle Unit
Perm CHPP-6 (a part of Generation Urals Division of CJSC IES) is starting preparations for the first stage of start-up works that will focus on scheduled testing of some elements of a new combined cycle unit and synchronization of interaction of all its parts. The next testing stage will include first fire of the steam turbines.
20.04.2011 IES-Holding to Buy 12 ELSIB Turbine Generators with a Total Capacity of Some 1,000 MW
IES-Holding will buy from ELSIB Research and Production Association 12 turbine generators for new power units under its investment program. As contracted, the equipment is scheduled for delivery in 2012 and 2013.
17.04.2011 GE Turbines to be Installed at IES-Holding’s Berezniki Investment Project Pass Factory Tests, Shipped off to Russia
Two General Electric 80MW Frame 6FA gas turbines intended for IES-Holding’s investment project of construction of a new steam-and-gas unit in Berezniki, the Perm Territory, have passed factory tests in France and have been shipped off to Russia. Delivery is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2011.
14.04.2011 IES-Holding to Buy 11 UTW Steam Turbines for New Power Units
IES-Holding will buy from Ural Turbine Works (UTW) 11 steam turbines for new power units under its investment program. The total contractual value of the turbines to be delivered in 2012 and 2013 exceeds RUB 5 billion.
