More than 500 consumers from the Sverdlovsk Region, Orenburg Region and the Republic of Udmurtia signed fixed price electric power supply contracts - EES.Garant - with IES-Holding's power supply companies, announced IES-Holding President Mikhail Slobodin at the International Investment Forum in Sochi, September 18, 2009. ‘We can see consumers' interest in fixed price contracts. The aggregate amount of power supply under these contracts is over 50 mln kWh of electric power until the end of the year. This is a small part of total power supply provided by these retail companies in 6 months,' Mikhail Slobodin said. At present, about 90% of EES.Garant clients are small or medium-size businesses. They consume from 1,000 to 50,000 kWt per month. Representatives of large business have shown interest in fixed price power supply, too. For example, a branch of OJSC Uralsvyazinform in the Sverdlovsk Region signed EES.Garant contract. Medium-term (and later long-term) fixed price power supply contracts are just the first step towards formation of a modern retail electric power market in Russia.. EES.Garant contract is an innovative product developed to meet power consumers' demands and their most essential requirements. Under the conditions of power markets liberalization EES.Garant allows power consumers forecast their power purchase costs and plan prospective budget expenses. EES.Garant is a business support instrument which efficiently protects enterprises against instability of prices on free power market. |
