On October 19, within the Days of Czech and Slovak Business in Moscow, IES-Holding, Government of the Sverdlovsk Region and Czech PSG-International a.s. signed a tripartite memorandum of cooperation for development of design documents, construction and commissioning of a CCGT unit at Novo-Sverdlovsk HPP (OJSC TGC-9). The total electrical capacity of the future unit will reach 250 to 320 MW, while its thermal power will be 150 to 220 GCal/h. The CCGT unit of Novo-Sverdlovsk HPP is expected to be commissioned in Q4 2013. To implement this project, a joint working group was created, headed by Viltaly Anikin, Deputy Manager of Generation Urals for IT and Development, Yuri Shevelev, Minister of Energy and Housing and Public Utilities of the Sverdlovsk Region and Jiri Horacek, General Director of PSG-International a.s. Implementation of this investment project will ensure additional power and heat supplies to Ekaterinburg and Beryozovsky (Sverdlovsk Region). The plans of Novo-Sverdlovsk HPP extension are related to the prospects of development of the centralized heat supply of the Urals Capital. The project of CCGT unit construction at Novo-Sverdlovsk HPP was supported by both Russian and Czech governments and recognized as one of the top priority projects of Russian-Czech economic cooperation listed in the Minutes of the Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation dated September 15, 2009. |
