On December 1, 2009, Andrey Vagner was appointed Operational Director and First Vice-President of CJSC IES. He will be responsible for operating activities of CJSC IES and management of the generation divisions. He will supersede Andrey Shishkin who left the company due to a transfer to another appointment. The Operational Director will be responsible for managing the operating activities of the holding company, organization and control over reliable and continuous electric power supply to the consumers, defining and following a uniform policy in the sphere of procurement activities, investment program implementation, adopting a uniform technical policy, etc. The operational director will report directly to Mikhail Slobodin, President of IES-Holding. "Andrey Vagner is a professional power engineer with a solid employment history and top management experience in the industry. His main objectives include providing for reliability of power supply to the consumers, construction of new facilities, cost optimization. I am sure he will easily cope with them", says Mikhail Slobodin. Background: Andrey Vagner was born on August 17, 1957. Having graduated from Krasnoyarsk Polytechnic Institute, he worked at Zapadno-Sibirskaya CHPP, where he went through all the stages from a central turbine control board operator to the power plant director. From 1998 to 2000, he worked as Executive Director, First Deputy General Director of OJSC Kuzbassenergo. Andrey Vagner was also Head of the Department of Electric Power Plants of RAO UES of Russia and later occupied the position of Deputy Managing Director of Business Unit No. 2 of RAO UES of Russia.
