Alexander Nagaev Appointed Chief Executive Officer of Perm Grid Company

09-12-2009

The most urgent tasks assigned to Mr. Nagaev in his new position include consolidation of IES Holding's heat energy business in the Perm Territory and creating a united heat energy supply company using the existing facilities of Perm Grid Company (PGC).

Alexander Nagaev was born in 1973. In 1995, he graduated from the Department of Economics of Perm State University. From 1993 to 1996 Mr. Nagaev worked in OJSC Permcombank (Perm); from 1996 to 1998 in OJSC MDM-Bank (Moscow); until August 2009 he held the position of Perm Branch Manager of OJSC Sobinbank; since September 2009 he was Vice-President of Otkrytie Commercial Bank (Moscow).

In the near future Alexander Nagaev will take up the duties of the chief operating officer of OJSC Perm Grid Company (PGC). According to Mr. Nagaev, his top-priority duties in the new office will include "reliable completion of the cold season, building an efficient heat energy distribution chain in every city within PGC area of responsibility from heat energy producers down to the end consumers and building an expert management team".

According to previous reports, Generation Urals Division of IES-Holding is using PGC to organize a united heat energy supply company in the Perm Territory. This will allow building a transparent technological heat energy distribution chain with efficient management on the heat energy markets of the cities within the area of responsibility (Perm, Krasnokamsk, Chaykovsky, Gubakha). The chain will merge production facilities (with generation capacities of TGC-9 as the main source), transportation via transmission and distribution networks and delivery of heat energy into a single unit.

For consumers, this will increase the quality of operation and maintenance of heat transmission and distribution pipelines, introduce the ‘one-stop shop' principle that deals with all the heat supply issues. It is also important that the centralized management of the transmission and district-level heat energy networks will synchronize the repair campaigns performed on various sections of the network, reduce the duration of heat energy cut offs during summer repair campaigns and increase the quality of the works performed.

For energy producers, merging the heat energy businesses into one company will allow solving a number of technical and economic issues. Particularly, it will help effectively plan the CHPPs workload in accordance with the actual energy demand and reach a new level in consumer service.
