A new system of telecontrol and communications was put in operation at the stations of the Udmurtian branch of Ural Generation division. In November, such systems were commissioned at heat stations 1 and 2 in Izhevsk, beginning of December - at Sarapul CHPP. Thanks to the new system of telecontrol and communications ensuring plant equipment monitoring and data communication, the regional control board of IES receives more accurate and complete process data. The data transfer speed and quality have also improved. Moreover, the new system provides for automated plant operation monitoring, which adds to CHPP's reliability and management efficiency. A distinctive feature of the new system is its large scale in terms of infrastructure that includes autonomous fiber-optics lines, up-to-date efficient server and network equipment, and the period of its construction that took 2 years. "The new system of telecontrol and communications is universal and more informative", said Andrey Lysenko, Head of Sarapul CHPP Information and Technical Department, "The old system provided information for the regional control board while at the plant equipment operation was monitored based on instrument readings. The new system tracks and displays data on the operator's computer at the CHPP main control board and thus allows real-time equipment monitoring and timely emergency prevention." |
