At the end of December NC EnergoStroyEngineering tallied up its Russian business in 2009. Over the reporting period the companies of the Group constructed 347.4 km of power lines in the Volga, Ural and Siberia Federal Districts. The total transformer load of new substations was equal to 772 MW. This included the 80 km of power lines and substations with capacity of 50 MVA commissioned by NoyabrElektroSetStroy, 114 km and 697 MVA commissioned by ZapSibelElektroSetStroy, 41.68 km and 25 MVA commissioned by VostokSibelEktroSetStroy and 111.7 km commissioned by SibElektroSetStroy. Besides, in 2009 SibElektroSetStroy constructed 29.4 km of cable lines.  The largest projects realized by the companies of the group in 2009 include extension of Pyt-Yakh substation by 50 kV (installation of the third generator), construction of 110 kV power lines to connect Sredniy Balyk - Ugutskiy, Pravoberezhnaya-2 - Monastyrskaya with large sections over the Ob river and the Chebykovskaya channel, heat station 10 - Urik with 110/35/10 kV substations, reconstruction of 220 kV power line to connect Muravlenkovskaya - Pul-Yakha, Muravlenkovskaya - Avrora, extension of Muravlenkoskaya substation by 500 kV and others.
In 2009, companies of the Group started large projects to construct a 500 kV power line between Balakovo APP and Kurdyum substation with extension of the substation for trunk power lines of the Volga Federal District; to construct a twin-circuit 220 kV power line between 220 kV Priangarsk substation) and Razdolinskaya substation (220/110/6 kV) with extension and reconstruction of Razdolinskaya substation; to construct a twin-circuit 220 kV power line between Boguchanskaya hydropower plant and Razdolinskaya substation as well as Priangarsk substation (220 kV) for trunk power lines of Siberia. These projects are to be finished in 2010. Leonid Delov, General Director of NC EnergoStroyEngineering, pointed out that all the power units constructed met the new generation requirements. All of them are operated automatically where possible, operation of their modern equipment is trouble-free and the staff is limited to minimum. "In December 2009 all the companies of our Corporation joined Association of Energy Constructors (a self-governing organization) and were certified to perform construction, reconstruction, capital repair works at construction facilities", he explained. National Corporation EnergoStroyEngineering (NC ESE inc.) deals with design and construction of power production facilities, helps to implement new technical and engineering developments, putting turnkey facilities in operation. The Corporation is constituted by VostokSibElektroSetStroy (Irkutsk); SibElektroSetStroy (Novosibirsk); ZapSibElektroSetStroy (Surgut); NoyabrElektroSetStroy (Noyabrsk).
