30-12-2009

During 12 months in 2009, 545 employees of the Mari El and Chuvashia branch of IES Holding's Generation Urals Division, including 407 blue collar workers, 39 white collar employees and 99 managers, took training, retraining and advanced training. 517 of them are employees of IES Holding in Chuvashia.

Training and advanced training of combined heat and power plant personnel is required to ensure efficient performance of such plants. The main task was to provide specialized training to the employees of hazardous facilities (boilers, steam and hot water pipelines, gas consumption, etc.); they took a course in Industrial Safety.

Personnel training and advanced training is one of Generation Urals personnel policy priorities and a motivating factor for the heat energy plant employees. The skill formation is one of the essential conditions ensuring a reliable, steady and successful performance of the company.

Power engineers are trained at specialist educational establishments which are in partnership with the energy company. The main training center of the Chuvash power engineers is the non-state educational establishment Chuvash Educational and Course Integrated Works. This year the company's personnel will also undertake retraining at the extended education establishments of Saint-Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Kirov and Yoshkar-Ola.

The Mari El and Chuvashia branch expenditures for 12 months' training and retraining amounted to RUR 2,5 million this year.
