The diploma of the Silver Archer National Award in the field of public relations development was awarded to the Energy Cooperation Contest, which was developed and implemented by the Regional Projects Department together with the press centers of the divisions and companies of IES-Holding in 2009. The social relevance and results of the project were highly appreciated by the expert council of the Silver Archer award. The Energy Cooperation Contest allowed the energy holding company to draw the attention of the public and mass media to energy saving and energy efficiency, identify and reward those heat and power consumers who are ready to actively invest in energy efficiency projects. Over 1,000 companies in more than 16 regions of the Russian Federation took part in the contest. Another Silver Archer diploma as well as a special prize from the Ministry of Energy of Russia went to the press centre of OJSC Volga TGC, a part of the IES-Holding's Generation Volga Division, for the 75 Years of Centralized Heat Supply project. The events held within the project included Firewood Championship 2009, installation of the Golden Manhole Cover in a heating pipeline in Saratov and reconstruction of the Yakhimovich steam-concrete heating system. Over 12 years, more than 1,500 projects and nearly 8,000 experts took part in the Silver Archer National Award contest in the field of public relations development. Although the profession of public relation expert is quite recent (it was entered into the state registry only in 2003), it enjoys well-deserved respect and the initiatives of experts in this field are regarded as the most important factor in gaining understanding between the manufacturer and the consumer, the state and the society, the authorities and the citizen.
