IES-Holding's companies successfully went through the 2009-2010 heating season and began preparing for the next heating season. The company plans to spend 12.95 billion rubles for repairs, technical modernization and re-equipment, 12% more than last year. This year, IES-Holding's generating companies will focus on their heat networks reconstruction and significantly increase investment for these purposes. "During the previous heating season all IES-Holding's power generating companies provided reliable and safe operation of the equipment and continuous power supply to the consumers," Andrey Vagner, Senior Vice-President and Operational Director of IES Holding said.
IES Holding pays particular attention to reducing accident rate. On the whole, the number of accidents due to erroneous or improper actions of the personnel decreased by 20% compared to the 2008/2009 heating season. IES Holding maintains leading positions in introducing innovative technologies at its generating companies and heat networks, and actively applies new approaches in preparation for the heating season. In 2010, turbine units at Togliatti CHPP and VAZ CHPP will be re-equipped with new high-pressure cylinders, and thus their resource and installed capacity will be increased. IES-Holding will continue modernizing boiler equipment using low-temperature vortex combustion technology and introducing membrane technologies at the chemical water treatment plants. IES-Holding's generating companies will begin implementing a comprehensive program for reducing fuel rate. About 148 km of hot-water pipes will be re-laid during the 2010 repairs campaign. The re-equipment program will make use of innovative technologies include modern methods of acoustic diagnostics, polyurethane foam pipe insulation, and installation of remote control systems. |
