Winter Certificate Awarded to Volga TGC

On November 5, the act of readiness for the winter peak load was signed at OJSC Volga TGC (part of Generation Volga Division of IES-Holding). This act was based on the results of inspection of all HPPs and Territorial Heat Supply Offices of the company, and prepared by a special commission that included representatives of the Ministry of Energy, Technical Control Service of the System Operator, Rostekhnadzor, Interregional Dispatching Office of the mid-Volga region, Ministry of Emergency Situations and CJSC IES. In the future, based on this act, the Ministry of Energy will issue the Winter Certificate to Volga TGC, which is an extremely important document that sums up the results of months-long efforts to get ready for reliable power supply to consumers.

Orenburg TGC Certified for Autumn/Winter Peak

Orenburg TGC was certified by a commission chaired by Aleksandr Faustov, Senior Vice-President and Technical Director of IES-Holding, which consisted of representatives of IES technical departments, Volga TGC and the Energy Supervision Division of the Urals Department of Rostekhnadzor for the Orenburg Region.

Companies of IES-Holding Complete Preparation for Autumn and Winter

The companies of Integrated Energy Systems have completed preparation for 2009/2010 autumn and winter period. Over the period of the maintenance campaign all the operating and overhaul repairs as well as reconstruction and re-equipment tasks were accomplished as planned. According to the results of 2009, the total investments will amount to RUR 12.5 billion. This was announced by Andrey Shishkin, IES-Holding's First Vice President and Director for Operations, at the interregional teleconference held on October 27.

Over 800 IES-Holding Consumers Signed UES.Garant Contracts

IES Holding has summarized the results after three months of work within the new UES.Garant model. Starting from June 20 and up to October 20, 835 power consumers from the Sverdlovsk Region, Orenburg Region and the Republic of Udmurtia signed UES.Garant fixed price electric power supply contracts.

IES-Holding Intends to Develop Capacities of Novo-Sverdlovsk HPP Together with Czech Investors

On October 19, within the Days of Czech and Slovak Business in Moscow, IES-Holding, Government of the Sverdlovsk Region and Czech PSG-International a.s. signed a tripartite memorandum of cooperation for development of design documents, construction and commissioning of a CCGT unit at Novo-Sverdlovsk HPP (OJSC TGC-9).

IES-Holding to Construct Up-to-Date Water Ultrafiltration Facilities at Berezniki HPP-4

IES-Holding started a large-scale investment project of chemical water treatment facilities upgrade at Berezniki HPP-4 (Generation Urals) under its integrated program of heat supply reliability enhancement in Berezniki. The most important milestone of this project will be the water treatment system reconstruction of this combined heat and power plant.

IES-Holding Power Plants Reduced Power Production by 8.7% from January to September 2009

From January to September 2009, the power plants of IES-Holding consisting of generating facilities of TGC-5, TGC-6, TGC-7 and TGC-9 produced 44,509.81 million kWh of power which is 8,7% less as compared to the same period of 2008.

GE Turbine Delivered to Syzran under Volga Agate Project of IES-Holding

A General Electric gas turbine unit intended for Volga Agate, an investment project of IES-Holindg, was delivered October 11 to Syzran HPP, where a 235 MW power unit is now under construction. This is one of the two Frame 6FA turbines (80 MW) to be operated within the new CCGT plant.

Generating Companies of IES-Holding: Branches to be Established to Implement Investment Projects

Branches intended for implementation of priority investment programs will be established within TGC-5, TGC-6, Volga TGC and TGC-9, generating companies of IES-Holding. The respective regulations will be approved by the Boards of these companies.

A Working Meeting Between IES-Holding President Mikhail Slobodin and Viktor Koksharov, Chairman of the Sverdlovsk Region Government

At the meting held on October 1, 2009 the parties discussed operational readiness of all IES-Holding companies in the Sverdlovsk Region for the 2009/2010 heating season. They also discussed heat and power plants operation under new conditions of wholesale electric power market. The situation in the town of Kamensk-Uralsky (where in a number of districts heating season hasn’t begun) was discussed separately.
