30.09.2009 The First School Basketball Festival Finished in Yoshkar-Ola
The first ever School Basketball Festival held in Yoshkar-Ola (the Mari El Republic) within the framework of opening the Interregional Championship of IES-BASKET School Basketball League finished on September 26, 2009.
30.09.2009 OJSC Vostoksibelektrosetstroy Puts Into Operation a 110 kV HV Line (HPP-10 – Urik) and a New 110/35/10 kV Substation in Urik, Irkutsk Region
In September 2009, OJSC Vostoksibelektrosetstroy (a part of EnergoStroyEngineering National Corporation) completed construction and commissioned a 110 kV HV line (HPP-10 – Urik) and a 110/35/10 kV substation in Urik (Irkutsk Region). OJSC Irkutsk Electricity Grid Company acted as Customer of the construction project.

25.09.2009 Inter-regional Championship of IES-BASKET School Basketball League Opened in Yoshkar-Ola
On 24 September 2009, Inter-regional Championship of IES-BASKET School Basketball League opened in Yoshkar-Ola (the Mari El Republic). Within the framework of this event, IES-BASKET and the government of the Mari El Republic have organized a School Basketball Festival – the first ever in modern Russia – under the slogan YOUR GAME – YOUR DREAM! Forty-eight teams of young boys and girls from 24 regions of Russia take part in the event. The National Basketball Project and Students Basketball Association are the partners of the festival.

22.09.2009 A Meeting of IES-Holding Management and Chairman of the Government of the Orenburg Region
On 22 September 2009, Sergey Grachev, Chairman of the Orenburg Region’s Government and First Vice Governor of the Orenburg Region held a business meeting with IES-Holding executives: Andrey Shishkin, First Vice President, Director for Operations and Sergey Emelchenkov, Executive Vice President, Retail Division Director. They discussed operational readiness of power supply plants of the Orenburg Region for heating season; heat and electric power tariffs for 2010, and implementation of socio-economic partnership agreement between IES-Holding and the regional government.

More than 500 consumers from the Sverdlovsk Region, Orenburg Region and the Republic of Udmurtia signed fixed price electric power supply contracts – EES.Garant – with IES-Holding’s power supply companies, announced IES-Holding President Mikhail Slobodin at the International Investment Forum in Sochi, September 18, 2009.

The operations stuff teams of IES-Holding’s generation divisions won the 1st, 3rd and 4th places in the All-Russian competition of HPP operations staff held under the auspices of Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation. The official awarding ceremony took place on 11 September 2009, in Essentuki.

This consideration was expressed by IES-Holding President Mikhail Slobodin at the 4th Workshop Conference “Heat Supply Systems. Modern Practical Solutions”, on September 9, 2009.
