10.06.2009 IES and OJSC PCC Soyuz Signed Turnkey Contract for Construction of Steam-Gas Power-Producing Unit at Perm HPP-6
IES-Holding and OJSC Power-Construction Corporation Soyuz signed a turnkey contract for construction of a steam-gas power-producing unit on the premises of Perm HPP-6 (OJSC TGC-9) (EPC). The contract worth more than 3 billion roubles was awarded on the basis of fair and open competitive negotiations conducted through Â2Â Electronic Trading Floor (ETF) of IES-Holding.

Mikhail Slobodin, the President of IES-Holding, took part in St. Petersburg International Economic Forum – 2009. On June 5, he made a speech at the session “Energy Efficiency and Alternative Energy Sources” where he told the participants about the IES experience in the field of energy efficiency improvement.

UKS received a prestigious second degree certificate in the nomination “Enterprises and Companies Investing in the Field of Housing and Utility Sector” at the All-Russian competition for the best public utility company/enterprise in 2008 organized under the Russian Ministry of Regional Development.

From June 1, 2009 Aleksandr Vilesov has taken the lead of the Economy and Finance Unit of Urals Generation Division. Up to this moment he acted as Head of Economy, Financial Accounting, and Tariff Management Department in Urals Generation Division and from 2006 till 2008 he held similar office in OJSC TGC-9.

On June 1, 2009 Roman Nizhankovsky was appointed Executive Vice-President of CJSC IES and Head of the Urals Generation Division. Up to this moment he had acted as Deputy Head of Economy and Finance Unit, and from 2005 till 2008 he occupied the position of the First Deputy Director General in OJSC TGC-9.

IES-Holding has completed the 30 Energy-Saving Days contest organized with the support of one of largest international environmental protection organization, World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). Its main purpose has been promoting active public involvement in raising energy efficiency.
14.05.2009 Generation Urals Division of IES Holding Completed Heating Season in Perm
The decree of the Perm Administration on completion of 2008-2009 heating season came into effect on May 12. The current year’s heating season started on September 18, 2008 and closed on May 12. According to the existing regulations, heating shall be cut following an appropriate decree of the city administration, when the period of average daily temperature of +8 degrees C lasts more than 5 (five) days.
