IES-Holding Divisions to Work in Special Mode During New Year Holidays

In order to ensure reliable and continuous energy supply to all consumers, all the IES divisions will switch to a special operation mode during the period from December 31, 2009 through January 10, 2010. The corresponding order was signed by Mikhail Slobodin, President of IES-Holding.

National Corporation EnergoStroyEngineering Tallies Up Its Business in 2009

At the end of December NC EnergoStroyEngineering tallied up its Russian business in 2009. Over the reporting period the companies of the Group constructed 347.4 km of power lines in the Volga, Ural and Siberia Federal Districts. The total transformer load of new substations was equal to 772 MW. This included the 80 km of power lines and substations with capacity of 50 MVA commissioned by NoyabrElektroSetStroy, 114 km and 697 MVA commissioned by ZapSibelElektroSetStroy, 41.68 km and 25 MVA commissioned by VostokSibelEktroSetStroy and 111.7 km commissioned by SibElektroSetStroy. Besides, in 2009 SibElektroSetStroy constructed 29.4 km of cable lines.

IES-Holding Commissions a 60 MW Turbine Generator at Kirov CHPP-3

Kirov CHPP-3, which is a part of to IES-Holding’s ‘Generation Urals’ division has completed reconstruction of 60 MW turbine generator No.6. The commissioning took place on the December 24. The investment project included installation of the new generator manufactured by NPO ELSIB (Novosibirsk), reconstruction of the base of the turbine unit, electro-technical and auxiliary equipment. The cost of works and the new equipment amounted to RUR 180 million.

GE Turbines for Flint Investment Project of IES Holding Factory-Tested in France

Frame 6FA (PG6111FA) gas turbines with a capacity of 80 MW each were successfully tested at the General Electric plant in Belfort (France). They were designed for the Flint investment project of IES Holding that involves extension of Novokuibyshevsk CHPP-1 by construction of a CCGT on parallel disposal lines.

IES Holding’s Generating Companies Sell 21,000 MW at Arena power Stock Exchange

In 2009, IES Holding’s generating companies sold 21,018 MW of capacity at Arena power stock exchange. The leader among the companies is Volga TGC, whose stock exchange contracts in 2009 amounted to 11,683 MW. TGC-6 contracted 4,987 MW, while TGC-5 – 4,348 MW.

IES Holding’s Generation Urals Puts in Operation New System of Telecontrol and Communications at its CHPP in Udmurtia.

A new system of telecontrol and communications was put in operation at the stations of the Udmurtian branch of Ural Generation division. In November, such systems were commissioned at heat stations 1 and 2 in Izhevsk, beginning of December – at Sarapul CHPP.

Alexander Nagaev Appointed Chief Executive Officer of Perm Grid Company

The most urgent tasks assigned to Mr. Nagaev in his new position include consolidation of IES Holding’s heat energy business in the Perm Territory and creating a united heat energy supply company using the existing facilities of Perm Grid Company (PGC).

Andrey Vagner Appointed Operational Director and First Vice-President of IES-Holding

On December 1, 2009, Andrey Vagner was appointed Operational Director and First Vice-President of CJSC IES. He will be responsible for operating activities of CJSC IES and management of the generation divisions. He will supersede Andrey Shishkin who left the company due to a transfer to another appointment.

All IES Holding Generating Companies Certified as Ready for Winter Period by Department of Energy

All the generating companies of IES Holding have been certified as ready for the winter season by the Ministry of Energy. TGC-5, TGC-6, Volga TGC and TGC-9 have been acknowledged as reliable suppliers of energy capable of steady operation in the autumn-winter period 2009-2010 by special committees of the Ministry of Energy.

IES Holding Company Approves Unified Environmental Policy and its Realization Concept up to 2020

A steady environmental security of the entire energy and gas industry is the strategic goal of IES Holding’s Unified Environmental Policy. This document, together with the concept of realization of principles stipulated thereby for the period up to 2020, was approved by Mikhail Slobodin, President of CJSC IES.
