IES Holding Company to Cut Costs by Financial Management Centralization and Automation
IES Holding implements the program of treasury operation automation and creation of the Central Treasury Information System based on the SAP company information solutions. It was named “Treasury”, and by late 2009 will be introduced in all IES divisions, whether or not they run the ERP system (“Turbine” project).

IES-Holding Completes GTPP-16PA Comprehensive Tests at Perm HPP-13 under Garnet Investment Project
The new gas turbine unit ran for 72 hours under the nominal load of 16 MW.
In the course of tests, the compressor and gas turbine were synchronized and operated in a number of modes. After the test run of GTPP-16PA and acknowledgement of equipment performance, the Rostekhnadzor Department for the Perm Territory signed the gas turbine unit test certificate. The main equipment and control system operation did not call for any comments. This 72-hour test is an obligatory phase of power equipment testing before commissioning.

IES-Holding Commissions 65 MW Turbine Set at Sormovo HPP
IES-Holding has recently commissioned Turbine Set-2 at Sormovo HPP, Generation Center Division. On November 9, 2009 they completed retrofitting works which will let increase the installed electrical capacity of the plant to 65 MW.

Winter Certificate Awarded to OJSC Kirovenergosbyt
OJSC Kirovenergosbyt has been awarded Winter Certificate signed by Mikhail Slobodin, President of IES-Holding. This is the result of the company's efforts to check the company's readiness for operation in winter. The special committee appointed by CJSC IES performed a careful check of all relevant parameters to confirm Kirovenergosbyt's readiness for operation in autumn and winter 2009/2010.

Winter Certificate Awarded to Volga TGC
On November 5, the act of readiness for the winter peak load was signed at OJSC Volga TGC (part of Generation Volga Division of IES-Holding). This act was based on the results of inspection of all HPPs and Territorial Heat Supply Offices of the company, and prepared by a special commission that included representatives of the Ministry of Energy, Technical Control Service of the System Operator, Rostekhnadzor, Interregional Dispatching Office of the mid-Volga region, Ministry of Emergency Situations and CJSC IES. In the future, based on this act, the Ministry of Energy will issue the Winter Certificate to Volga TGC, which is an extremely important document that sums up the results of months-long efforts to get ready for reliable power supply to consumers.
