IES-Holding, among the First in Russia, Begins Heating Season in Vorkuta

IES-Holding’s Urals Generation Division has begun heating season, one of the first in Russia. Heat consumers in the town of Vorkuta, located 160 km north of the Polar circle, received heat on 27 August 2009, in compliance with a decree of the head of Vorkuta administration.

Total Amount of Power Generated by Volga TGC Reached 100 Billion kWh

On 24 August 2009, total amount of power generated by thermoelectric power stations of Volga TGC (a part of IES-Holding) reached 100 billion kWh. This result was achieved during almost 4 years of the company’s operation. Volga TGC was founded on 1 August 2005.

More Than 200 Companies and Organizations Have Signed Fixed Price Power Supply Contracts

IES-Holding and its regional power supply companies have evaluated the first month’s results of the new product – EES.Garant – a medium-term fixed price power supply contract. During the first month (from July 20 to August 20, 2009) after EES.Garant appeared in the market, 207 power consumers from the Sverdlovsk Region, Orenburg Region and the Republic of Udmurtia signed fixed price electric power supply contracts. The first month’s results show that the new product offered by IES-Holding’s power supply companies is in demand.

Strategic Business Systems LLC has obtained a certificate confirming a status of business partner of Oracle Co. This status enables Strategic Business Systems LLC to purchase Oracle software at preferential prices, to obtain discounts for staff training and certification on Oracle products, and to receive direct consultations on the introduction of the Oracle products.

Denis Kirienko is assigned as a deputy manager of the Retail Division of IES-Holding

Denis Kirienko has been assigned as a deputy manager of the Retail Division of IES-Holding previously having held a position of the General Director of Strategic Business Systems LLC (the IT service company of IES-Holding)). In new capacity Denis Kirienko will supervise a control segment of power sales operations.

Design works on IES-Holding Pearl Investment Project started at Ivanovo HPS-2

On 7 August a team of specialists arrived from the Nizhny Novgorod Teplopenergoproekt Institute to HPS-2 (the Ivanovo branch of the Generation Center Division of IES-Holding) to execute design works on the reconstruction of turbogenerator No. 5.

IES will channel over 100 mln rub. to reconstruct transfer steam pipeline of Vinter SDPS

Nizhny Novgorod SDPS named after A.V. Vinter (NiSDPS, a part of the Generation Center Division of IES Holding) will reconstruct its transfer steam pipelines of the boilers No.6 and No.7 by the early 2009/2010 heating season.

Staff changes at IES – new managers are assigned at the Generation Center and Retail Divisions.

July 31 - Aleksandr Kolokoltsev was assigned to a position of the Executive Vice-President of IES-Holding Generation Center Division. Previously he was a manager of the Department of repairs, technical retooling, and reconstruction of CJSC IES.

IES-Holding started installation of new turbogenerator at the Samara State District Power Station (the Samara SDPS)

The installation of new 12MW turbogenerator has been started at the Samara SDPS of the Volga TGC (the Generation Volga Division of the IES-Holding). The project at the cost of 278 million rub. has been named “selenit” (“moonstone”). It is implemented within the limits of the Diadem Investment Program, where each of 16 largest investment projects of the IES received a symbolic name of one of the jewelry stones or minerals.

The first Power Supply Contract of the EES.Garant was concluded at the fixed price in the Sverdlovsk region.

OJSC Sverdlovenergosbyt (the member of IES-Holding’s Retail Division) has concluded the first medium-term Power Supply Contract of the EES.Garant at the fixed price. The Contract has been concluded with the Ural Fish, a Novouralsk fish-processing plant, with effective period till the end of the year.
