IES power plants reduced their generation by 6.6% in the first half of the year 2009
According to the current data, the IES-Holding’s generating plants (TGC-5, TGC-6, TGC-7, and TGC-9) generated 33,748.3 mln kWh of power in the first half of the year 2009. It is 6.57% lower than in the year 2008, when they produced 36,120.9 mln kWh.

The power engineers of Yekaterinburg Branch of IES-Holding Generation Urals who provided reliable power supply of the Ural capital during international forums were highly appreciated by members of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Leaders summit and the first BRIC summit. That was mentioned in speech of Arkady Chernetsky, Head of Steering Committee on Preparing and Organization of Important Events, Head of Yekaterinburg.

IES will offer energy power agreements to retail clients at a fixed price from July 20
IES-Holding developed and offers the unique and only for Russian retail market service, the Medium-Term Energy Power Supply Agreements at a fixed price to energy power consumer companies in the Republic of Udmurtia, Sverdlovsk and Orenburg regions. From July 20 OJSC Sverdlovenergosbyt, OJSC Orenburgenergosbyt, OJSC Udmurtia Power Supply Company provide an opportunity for consumers to conclude the EES.Garant Energy Power Supply Agreements till December 31, 2009. Later it will be considered an opportunity to conclude such agreements for a year and more.

IES-Holding implements Volga Agate Project in Syzran
Within the limits of priority investment project implementation IES-Holding implements a new 235 MW power unit building in Syzran TPS (Volga TGC). The project was called Volga Agate. Such great energy building is the first one since 1970s in the Samara region. The combined-cycle plant building in Syzran TPS will allow not just taking out of service outdated turbines but increasing of specified station capacity by 52% from 255 MW to 392 MW. The power of Volga Agate will be enough for start-up of 4 major industrial enterprises, i.e. oil refinery plant, on the territory of the region.

IES implements the Diadem Investment Program till 2015
IES-Holding will have implemented Diadem Priority Investment Program till 2015 which includes 16 projects with the capacity from 10 to 440 MW in 10 regions of RF: the Republic of Mariy El, the Kirov region, the Republic of Udmurtia, Perm Territory, the Republic of Komi, Sverdlovsk, Nizhniy Novgorod, Ivanovo, Orenburg and Samara regions.

Power engineers of Generation Urals Division implement the program of building complex energy supply of the Ural capital
During the first half of the year, the engineering specifications with 36.6 Gcal/h capacity were provided by the Department of Heat Power Market Development of Yekaterinburg Branch for land allocations on requests of municipal administration.

IES increased the capacity of Ivanovo TPS to 200 MW and invested 300 million rub.
Within the limits of realization of IES Holding Investment Program, the turbo unit No.3 of Ivanovo TPS-2 at the cost of more than 300 million rub. was placed in operation after reconstruction on July 1 in Ivanovo.

Volga TGC became one of the most active participants of the Power Exchange
According to Energorynok (Power Market) magazine, Volga TGC (TGC-7) ranks as the 5th in the ARENA rating of participants of the electric power industry commodity exchange according to the number of concluded exchange Free Electric Power and Capacity Agreements (FEPCA) with supply in May 2009.
