Over 1000 Heat and Power Consumers in 16 Russian Regions Participated in “Energy Cooperation Contest” Held by IES-Holding

Over 1000 legal entities – consumers of heat and electric power – participated in the “Energy Cooperation Contest” organized by IES-Holding in 16 regions of the Russian Federation. The rewarding ceremony of the Energy Effect of the Year” prizes was held on April 23-24.

OJSC Zapsibelektrosetstroy Constructed Crossings Over Ob’ and Chebikovskaya River Arm

On April 20 OJSC Zapsibelektrosetstroy (a part of IES-EnergoStroyEngineering Group of Companies) completed the construction of 110 kV double-circuit high voltage line at Pravoberezhnaya-2-Monastirskaya site and reconstruction of existing 35, 110 kV high voltage lines. Within the framework of the project specialists of the Surgut trust performed special complex crossings over the Ob’ river and Chebikovskaya river arm.

IES to Reduce Costs Due to Automation of Production and Economic Processes in Generation

The program of automated control of production and economic activity of generating divisions of IES-Holding – the “Turbine” – has been set into pilot operation. The pilot site for its testing is the Kirov Branch of OJSC TGC-5 – a part of Generation Urals Division.

IES Power Plants Reduced Output by 7.3% in the First Quarter of 2009

According to operational information generating companies of IES-Holding (TGC-5, TGC-6, TGC-7 and TGC-9) generated 21,070 million kWh of power in the first quarter of 2009 which is 7.3% less then for the same period of 2008. In the first quarter of 2008 power plants generated 22,727 million kWh of power.

Companies of IES-Holding’s Urals Generation Division given high awards by All-Russian Association of Employers in Electricity Industry

On the 15th of April in Moscow, the results of the “High Social Efficiency in Electricity Industry” competition were announced. It was held by the All-Russian Association of Employers in the Electricity Industry (RaEl) and All-Russian Electricians Trade Union. Over 100 companies in all sectors of the energy industry took part in the competition: wholesale and territorial generation companies, interregional grid companies, power sales companies and energy equipment producers.

IES Launched New Boiler at CGP-4 Working on Four Different Fuel Types

Within the framework of IES-Holding program on energy efficiency increase a unique power boiler working on four different types of fuel (gas, coal, fuel oil and peat) was put into operation on April 16 at Kirovskaya CGP-4. The cost of such first large-scale investment project comprised 232 million rubles.

Companies of IES-Holding – OJSC Volzhskaya TGC and OJSC Sverdlovenergosbit won the Fifth Competition of Annual Reports and Web-Sites annually held by Energorinok Magazine. The Awarding Ceremony took place on April, 02 at the Conference devoted to Supply of Resources for Investments Program in the Energy Sector.

CJSC IES-EnergoStroyEngineering Launched Construction and Erection Works of 500 kV High Voltage Line from Balakovskaya NPP to Kurdum

CJSC IES-EnergoStroyEngineering initiated construction and erection works of 500 kV high voltage line from Balakovskaya Nuclear Power Plant to Kurdum with 500 kV Kurdum Substation extension in the Saratov Region. CJSC IES-EnergoStroyEngineering is the general contractor of the project. The customer of the project is OJSC Federal Grid Company UES. Project implementation terms – November 2008 – December 2011.
