IES-Holding Announces Launch of Energy Cooperation Contest 2011
Integrated Energy Systems and its subsidiaries operating in 16 Russian regions announce the launch of the Third Interregional Energy Cooperation Contest among heat and power consumers (legal entities) to be held from April 4 until May 31. The best consumers in each nomination will receive an Energy Efficiency Award of the Year and Energy Efficiency Diplomas. The worst consumers will be named Energy Vampires. IES.Garant will act as the Contest 2011 partner.

Generating Companies of IES-Holding Produce 62 billion kWh of electric power and 120 million Gcal of heat in 2010
According to the current data, in 2010 the generating companies of -Holding produced 61.75 billion kWh of electric power and 119.8 million Gcal of heat. As compared to 2009, heat production went up 0.99% and electric power production went down 2.2%.

Power Supply Companies of the IES-Holding Sign 119 Energy Service Contracts in 2010
In 2010 power supply companies of the Retail Division of IES-Holding signed 119 energy service contracts. The economic effect from reduced energy consumption under these contracts totaled 7 million rubles per annum.

During the New Year Holidays IES Utility Companies Produced 2.35 Billion kWh of Electric Energy and 5.4 million Gcal of Heat
In the New Year holidays from January 1 through January 10, IES-Holding utility companies produced 2.35 billion kWh of electric energy and 5.4 million Gcal of heat. It is respectively 7% and 16% less as compared to the same period in 2010 due to the fact that the air temperature this year remained within the climate normal unlike last year.

137 Winners of the 30 Days of Energy Saving Contest Receive ‘Energy Efficient’ Gift Certificates
The results of the 30 Days of Energy Saving contest were announced. The contest has been held by IES-Holding for two years in a row, to encourage general public for an active approach to energy efficiency. Based on decisions of contest committees, awards and gift certificates for energy efficient products were given to 137 most responsible and active consumers from 16 regions of the Russian Federation where IES companies operate. Fourteen contestants also received special prizes from the official sponsor of the contest GiproKommunEnergo Energy Efficiency Center for the most creative and original projects.

In 2011 Peat Production by Companies of the IES-Holding in the Kirov Region will Reach 740,000 tons
In 2011 peat production by VyatkaTorf CJSC (a member of the IES-Holding) will reach 740,000 tons, which is over 50 percent of the total peat production in Russia. The primary consumers of this energy resource are Kirov CHPP-3 and CHPP-4 included in the IES Generation Ural Division, the Sharyinsk CHPP in the Kostroma Region, as well as the Municipal Unitary Enterprise for Housing and Utilities Services of the Kirov Region.

IES to Participate in Creating Employers’ Association of Power Suppliers
IES, along with several other generating companies, signed the Declaration of Intent to establish the Employers' Association of Power Suppliers. The Declaration was also joined by LLC Gazprom Energoholding, OGC-4 OJSC, OJSC Kvadra, OJSC Fortum and LLC EvroSibEnergo. The signing of this document became a result of long discussions and consultations among companies regarding an effective industry tariff agreement for 2009-2011.

IES-Holding Invested 491.8 mln Russian rubles in Modernization of Equipment at Two CHPPs in the City of Togliatti
The IES-Holding invested 491.8 mln Russian rubles in two projects for modernization of equipment of CHPPs in the city of Togliatti included in the OJSC Volga TGC. In the framework of the technical upgrade and reconstruction program at IES power plants, modernization of turbine unit No 7 at the Togliatti CHPP and installation of a new autotransformer at the CHPP of VAZ was completed.

IES-Holding Increased Capacity of the Sormovskaya CHPP to 350 MW
Turbine unit No 1 with a capacity of 65 MW was commissioned after an upgrade at the Sormovskaya CHPP of the Generation Center Division of the IES-Holding. This completed the Yantar (‘Amber') project of the priority investment program of the IES-Holding.

IES Received Awards from the Ministry of Energy for Best Corporate Magazine and Knowledge Day at Power Plants
On November 30, 2010, the award ceremony took place for the winners of the KonTEKst contest held by the Ministry of Energy of Russia among press relations services of fuel and energy companies and journalists of the energy pool. The award ceremony was held in the framework of the third all-Russian meeting of directors of press relations offices of power companies and representatives of regional headquarters for power supply reliability.
