IES-Holding and IDGC Holding Announce the Start of Competitive Negotiations for the Smart Metering Pilot Project in Perm
In the framework of the Smart Metering pilot project in Perm on December 30, IES-Holding and the IDGC Holding announced the start of competitive negotiations with prequalification of bidders for the right to sign a contract for the planning, surveying, building, installation, commissioning and start-up of an integrated metering system based on the Smart Metering technology for the Perm City Electric Mains of the Ural IDGC branch - Permenergo.

Smart Metering System to be Launched in Perm in the Q3 2011
The first elements of the Smart Metering System for electric power in Perm are to be launched in the third quarter of 2011. It was announced by Nikita Sychevsky, the Project Manager on behalf of IES-Holding, CJSC at Smart Metering Russia 2010 conference.

In his speech at the annual Financial Forum of Russia held by the Vedomosti newspaper on November 24, Alexey Zakrevsky, Vice-President for Financial Control of the IES-Holding, said that IES-Holding planned to suggest several investment projects for construction of new generating facilities for project financing.

General Director of CJSC IES Attended the Meeting of the State Council Presidium Dedicated to Reforms in the Housing and Utilities Sector
General Director of CJSC IES Yevgeny Olkhovik attended the offsite meeting of the State Council Presidium dedicated to reforms in the housing and utilities sector. The meeting held in Syktyvkar on November 23 by the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev was attended by Dmitry Kozak, Deputy Chairman of the RF Government, Viktor Basargin, Minister of Regional Development, Alexey Kudrin, Minister of Finance, and leaders of Russian constituent territories, representatives of relevant ministries, departments and top managers of energy companies.

IES-Holding Repays Debt to Gazprom Company Secured by Volga TGC’s Shares
The IES-Holding repaid its debt to a Gazprom company secured by 11.3% of the Volga TGC's shares. The shares have been released from pledge. Thus, IES remains the largest shareholder of the Volga TGC and its managing company.

All IES Generating Companies Issued Certificates of Readiness for Winter
All TGCs of IES-Holding have been issued certificates of readiness for the autumn and winter. TGC-5, TGC-6, VoTGC è TGC-9 are ready to provide reliable supply of electric power to consumers and stable operation in the 2010-2011 autumn and winter period - this has been confirmed by the committees established by the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation.

Children of IES-Holding Employees to Participate in Drawing Contest
On November 10 IES-Holding announced the annual children's drawing contest We are Energetic Children among the children and grandchildren of the holding company's employees in 18 regions of Russia. The contest is held on the eve of the Power Engineer's Day and the New Year for a second year in succession and has become a good tradition.

IES Chooses Contractors to Design New Power Generating Unit with Total Capacity of 1240 MW
IES-Holding has chosen a contractor to design a new 165 MW power generating unit of Perm CHPP-9 with the capacity. Following a competitive procurement procedure carried out on the electronic trading platform IES B2B, the contract for design documentation development has been awarded to OJSC GROUP E4 and the State Research and Design Institution Teploelektroproekt.

IES Reconstructs Tallest Building in Nizhny Novgorod Region
IES-Holding has invested over 70 million rubles in the reconstruction of the tallest building in Nizhny Novgorod Region - Chimney No. 3 of the Novogorkovskaya CHPP (included in the IES Generation Center Division). Built in 1988, a chimney of 238 m in height is among the tallest in Russia. The champion is the 370-meter chimney of the Berezovskaya SDPP.
