IES-Holding Announces 30 Days of Energy Saving Contest

IES-Holding announces a contest entitled 30 Days of Energy Saving, held in order to encourage the population to act more actively in the area of energy efficiency. The contest will start on November 1 in 16 Russian regions where IES companies are present. It is a second instance of the contest, which was held for the first time in March - April 2009.

IES-Holding’s Companies Complete Preparations for 2010-2011 Autumn and Winter

IES-Holding companies have completed preparations for 2010-2011 autumn-winter. During the period of the repair campaign all planned works for current and capital repairs, re-equipment and reconstruction was made. At the end of 2010 the total investment had reached 15.9 billion Russian rubles, told the reporters IES-Holding’s Senior Vice-President - Chief Operating Officer Andrey Vagner at the interregional conference call on October 27.

IES-Holding Generating Companies Supplied More Electric Power and Less Heat in 9 Months of 2010

In the nine months of 2010, the IES-Holding's generating companies supplied 43.3 billion kWh of electric power and 80.8 million Gcal of heat. Compared to the same period of 2009, the production of electric power increased by 2.5%, and that of heat decreased by 3.1%.

Mikhail Slobodin Receives President’s Thanks for Supporting Children Sports

Mikhail Slobodin has received thanks of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev for his intensive work on promoting and supporting children's sports as the President of the School Basketball League, IES-Basket. Apart from Mikhail Slobodin, the President of Russia expressed his thanks to the Honorary President of the IES-Basket League, the Olympic Champion Sergei Belov, a member of the Board of Trustees of IES-Basket Alexander Zarubin and the League’s CEO Alexey Frolov.

TGC-5 Places or at 8.10% Annual Interest

The IES-Holding's generating company - OJSC TGC-9 has posted a bond for 5 billion Russian rubles with a coupon rate of 8.75% per annum. Bond yields will be 8.94% per annum for a three-year offer.

IES CEO Attends RF Government Meeting Concerning Prospects of Gas Industry Through 2030

IES CEO Evgeny Olkhovik has participated in the offsite RF government meeting on gas industry development in the period until 2030. The meeting, chaired by Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, held on October 11 in Novy Urengoy. It was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Igor Sechin, Energy Minister Sergey Shmatko, heads of Russian constituent entities, representatives of relevant ministries and departments, heads of leading energy companies.

IES Chooses Contractor to Design New Power Generating Unit for Perm CHPP-9

IES-Holding has chosen a contractor to design a new 165 MW power generating unit for Perm CHPP-9. Following a competitive procurement procedure carried out through the electronic trading platform IES B2B, the contract for design documentation development has been awarded to the State Research and Design Institution Teploelektroproekt. This is one of the oldest designing institutes in Russia engaged in the design of energy facilities.

IES Chief Operating Officer Andrey Vagner Inspects Construction of Syzran CHPP’s New Power Generating Unit

IES Senior Vice President - Chief Operating Officer Andrey Vagner has inspected the construction works at the new power generating unit of the Syzran CHPP (the Volga Agate Project). While in Syzran, he held an offsite meeting to discuss a variety of topics, particularly, the course of construction works at the facility.

IES-Holding’s Perm CHPP-6: New CCGT Main Building’s Frame and Walls Ready

The IES-Holding’s Perm CHPP-6 has completed the installation of the frame and wall panels of the new 120 MW combined cycle gas turbine’s (CCGT’s) main building. Now the heating system is preparing to launch, and the works on ventilation systems of the building are nearing completion. This will allow continuing the installation of main and auxiliary power equipment even in the winter.

IES President Mikhail Slobodin Tops Kommersant’s Best Power Industry Managers Rating

President of JSC «IES» Mikhail Slobodin has topped the 2010 rating of the Russia’s best power industry managers according to the Kommersant newspaper. Chairman of the RusHydro’s Board Yevgeny Dod and IHVGC Holding’s General Director Nikolay Shvets came second and third respectively.
