20.10.2009 IES-Holding Intends to Develop Capacities of Novo-Sverdlovsk HPP Together with Czech Investors
On October 19, within the Days of Czech and Slovak Business in Moscow, IES-Holding, Government of the Sverdlovsk Region and Czech PSG-International a.s. signed a tripartite memorandum of cooperation for development of design documents, construction and commissioning of a CCGT unit at Novo-Sverdlovsk HPP (OJSC TGC-9).
20.10.2009 IES-Holding to Construct Up-to-Date Water Ultrafiltration Facilities at Berezniki HPP-4
IES-Holding started a large-scale investment project of chemical water treatment facilities upgrade at Berezniki HPP-4 (Generation Urals) under its integrated program of heat supply reliability enhancement in Berezniki. The most important milestone of this project will be the water treatment system reconstruction of this combined heat and power plant.
15.10.2009 IES-Holding Power Plants Reduced Power Production by 8.7% from January to September 2009
From January to September 2009, the power plants of IES-Holding consisting of generating facilities of TGC-5, TGC-6, TGC-7 and TGC-9 produced 44,509.81 million kWh of power which is 8,7% less as compared to the same period of 2008.
12.10.2009 GE Turbine Delivered to Syzran under Volga Agate Project of IES-Holding
A General Electric gas turbine unit intended for Volga Agate, an investment project of IES-Holindg, was delivered October 11 to Syzran HPP, where a 235 MW power unit is now under construction. This is one of the two Frame 6FA turbines (80 MW) to be operated within the new CCGT plant.
06.10.2009 Generating Companies of IES-Holding: Branches to be Established to Implement Investment Projects
Branches intended for implementation of priority investment programs will be established within TGC-5, TGC-6, Volga TGC and TGC-9, generating companies of IES-Holding. The respective regulations will be approved by the Boards of these companies.
02.10.2009 A Working Meeting Between IES-Holding President Mikhail Slobodin and Viktor Koksharov, Chairman of the Sverdlovsk Region Government
At the meting held on October 1, 2009 the parties discussed operational readiness of all IES-Holding companies in the Sverdlovsk Region for the 2009/2010 heating season. They also discussed heat and power plants operation under new conditions of wholesale electric power market. The situation in the town of Kamensk-Uralsky (where in a number of districts heating season hasn’t begun) was discussed separately.
30.09.2009 The First School Basketball Festival Finished in Yoshkar-Ola
The first ever School Basketball Festival held in Yoshkar-Ola (the Mari El Republic) within the framework of opening the Interregional Championship of IES-BASKET School Basketball League finished on September 26, 2009.
30.09.2009 OJSC Vostoksibelektrosetstroy Puts Into Operation a 110 kV HV Line (HPP-10 – Urik) and a New 110/35/10 kV Substation in Urik, Irkutsk Region
In September 2009, OJSC Vostoksibelektrosetstroy (a part of EnergoStroyEngineering National Corporation) completed construction and commissioned a 110 kV HV line (HPP-10 – Urik) and a 110/35/10 kV substation in Urik (Irkutsk Region). OJSC Irkutsk Electricity Grid Company acted as Customer of the construction project.

A working meeting of Vladimir Torlopov, Head of the Komi Republic with Mikhail Slobodin, IES-Holding President, Roman Nizhankovsky, IES-Holding Executive Vice President, Urals Generation Division Director and Sergey Emelchenkov, IES-Holding Vice President, Retail Division Director was held in Syktyvkar on 24 September 2009.
25.09.2009 Inter-regional Championship of IES-BASKET School Basketball League Opened in Yoshkar-Ola
On 24 September 2009, Inter-regional Championship of IES-BASKET School Basketball League opened in Yoshkar-Ola (the Mari El Republic). Within the framework of this event, IES-BASKET and the government of the Mari El Republic have organized a School Basketball Festival – the first ever in modern Russia – under the slogan YOUR GAME – YOUR DREAM! Forty-eight teams of young boys and girls from 24 regions of Russia take part in the event. The National Basketball Project and Students Basketball Association are the partners of the festival.
